How do you stop u7s carrying the ball in one hand and?

How do you stop u7s carrying the ball in one hand and diving for a try. They all say the England team do it !! telling them not to do it dose not work ?

Hi Nick

 

I tackled this last week by arraning a session around bulldog drill carrying the ball with two hands. Each player to have a ball, i introduced if carried with one hand one tag would be lost. I play bulldog with two tag rules. We then went onto playing a game at the end and only called out once two hands on the ball and that was to an Under 6 player. I hope this helps and good luck.

Hi Nick,

with our u7s we use the rule, that if a "try " is scored using only one hand we dis-allow the try, it seems to work, but they need reminding every week. good luck.
